I recently ran the same collection task on both residential and ISP proxies for about two weeks. The differences turned out to be more noticeable than I expected.

Residential clearly wins on success rate, especially against sites with stronger anti-bot measures — fewer drops. ISP performs better on session persistence and latency stability, making it more suitable for tasks that need long-lived logins or fixed IPs. I tested mobile less, but it seemed advantageous on certain mobile pages.

I’m currently testing the corresponding product lines from Helodata . Switching types in the dashboard is convenient, which made direct comparison easy.

Has anyone else done a similar comparison? Do you end up preferring one type, or do you mix them? Feel free to share your conclusions.
