Greetings everyone! Today, we'll delve into a much sought-after query: "How to set up SOCKS5 on Android and iOS devices in 2024." While configuring SOCKS5 for global traffic routing through proxy servers isn't feasible, iOS, also known as iPhones, allows configuration through the Wi-Fi connection within iOS itself.

Today, we'll illustrate how you can configure your Android and iOS browsers to utilize SOCKS5 proxy without the need to "root" or "Jailbreak" your device or resort to downloading additional third-party apps.

This guide is specifically tailored for the Firefox browser, readily available on the Google Play Store or the official Firefox website, likely already installed on your devices.

Let's dive right in:

1. Launch your Firefox browser on your mobile device.

2. Navigate to the Firefox Add-ons store and search for the FoxyProxy Extension or download it directly from the link provided.

3. Once the "FoxyProxy" Extension is downloaded and enabled, click on it to open the FoxyProxy menu.

4. In the FoxyProxy menu, locate the "Settings" option, click on it, and a new page will load for configurations.

5. Click on the "Add" button to commence configuration:

- Proxy name: (optional) You may input any identifier.
- Proxy Type: Choose SOCKS5.
- Proxy Address or DNS name: Input your "Proxy Socks Address" or "Server Name."
- Port: 1080
- Username: Your SOCKS5 proxy username.
- Password: Your SOCKS5 proxy password.

6. Activate the button adjacent to "Send DNS through SOCKS5 Proxy" and then click the Save button to preserve the provided credentials.

7. Ensure you change the setting from "Turn Off (Use Firefox Settings)" to the "SOCKS5" option.

8. Click on the "What’s My IP" menu option, located on the left side, to confirm the proper configuration of the proxy.

Upon completion of the configuration, all your traffic will be routed through the configured SOCKS5 proxy, irrespective of your device, whether it's iOS or Android.

It's important to note that this proxy configuration is solely active for the Firefox browser. Other applications connecting directly to the web won’t have their traffic routed through the configured SOCKS5 proxy on your Firefox browser, potentially revealing your real IP address.

For forwarding traffic from all applications on Android devices, ProxyDroid Application can be utilized; however, ProxyDroid necessitates root rights.

Therefore, we recommend adhering to browser setup, especially for carding purposes.
